Bob Slocum
graduated from West Georgia College with an Economics degree. Having spent eight years as a Realtor before moving into the mortgage industry in 1982, Bob has a perspective about the industry few lenders can offer. Bob’s well-rounded experience affords him the ability to understand what his borrowers, Realtors and Builders require in a successful transaction. As a Georgia native, Bob thoroughly understands the characteristics of this market. He currently serves as branch manager for Opteum's Athens branch and is committed to helping clients achieve the dream of home ownership. Bob’s high standards for customer satisfaction make the mortgage process easy for everyone involved. In 2002, Bob was recognized by the Mortgage Bankers of Georgia for being in the "Top 10" of all Georgia loan officers. Bob has also served as president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia and has chaired the association’s ethics committee.
